Boulder surprise When God Proved to me He was reading my thoughts. |
While
looking for a place to live, I saw a large rock and a soft mimosa
tree planted next to it. I love the Bible symbolism of the big rock
representing Jesus. The soft mimosa tree is a delicate contrast that was
so pleasing to the eye. The contrast between the firm rock and the
soft mimosa spoke of how weak humans are yet Jesus is the
Rock Who never changes. There was a desire in my heart for such a contrast in my yard. I never prayed about this desire. It seemed too small a matter to trouble God over. Imagine my surprise when a man who was digging up the road for cable, wanted to leave rocks on my land! He asked if he could dump a few big rocks. |
It
was amazing how this person could get the rock to land right where he
wanted it. He brought me three nice big ones.
Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. |
| God surprised me, for I had not prayed for this at all. God is my FOREVER FRIEND. Sometimes friends surprise you. The difference is, He can read everything I am thinking. There are friends on this earth who get real good at guessing what you are thinking but only God reads every thought. He cares so much He even pays attention to what I think about. When I shared this with a friend of mine, Pastor Anna, sent me money to buy the mimosa tree. I have searched for one to buy but have not found one yet. It would be great to have one that is large enough to survive while I am out on a mission for God. Summers get very hot and dry. |
![]() Our God is an ever-present help in every time of need.
He is perfectly acquainted with the most secret thoughts of our heart, with all the intents and purposes of our souls. When we are in perplexity, even before we open to Him our distress, He is making arrangements for our deliverance. Our sorrow is not unnoticed. He always knows much better than we do, just what is necessary for the good of His children, and He leads us as we would choose to be led if we could discern our own hearts and see our necessities and perils, as God sees them. But finite beings seldom know themselves. They do not understand their own weakness. . . . God knows them better than they know themselves, and He understands how to lead them. . . . {OHC 316.4}If we will trust Him, and commit our ways to Him, He will direct our steps in the very path that will result in our obtaining the victory over every evil passion, and every trait of character that is unlike the character of our divine Pattern. {OHC 316.5} |
