Help! Kyle's Drowning!

Kyle loved water. Puddles were a great attraction to him. When we went to the beach he was the happiest little fellow you could ever imagine. There were squeals as the waves would tickle his bare feet. He wanted all the way inside whither it was cold or not. He loved bath time. I had to watch him closely when he was 18 months for he was not able to swim yet he loved the swimming pool. This story happened while we lived in Portland. We had a nice pool the kids could use every day. Many happy memories were made at this pool. And one very scary memory I will never forget.
When I was pregnant with Jenny and supposed to be real careful and rest quietly in my bed , I was supervising my two good swimmers in the swim pool but kept Kyle inside so he wouldn't drown. I did not see him follow me out when I went to help a conflict resolution. I carefully shut the screen door and while I was getting a drink, screams from the pool caught my attention. My oldest was screaming that Kyle was drowning.
I looked out the window and there were his little hands above water. I flew into action. Praying for the baby inside me not to be harmed, and that Kyle would not take water into his lungs.
I forgot the closed screen door. I broke it as I began to run right through the door. My eyes were on my little baby boy. Once outside I plunged into the water to pull Kyle out. He blinked and grinned as I wrapped him up in a towel.
We celebrated Kyle's life.  He still loves water. When he was 8 he had the delight of playing on the beach in Borneo during a mission trip.

As I thought about the events of the day, I thanked God for hearing my prayers. He saved Kyle's life through me. He made it so my little baby Jenny was not harmed. He also prevented further complications with my pregnancy.

Kyle is a very tender hearted boy who loves God with all his heart. He wants to be an evangelist. He loves making graphics for this web site. Each morning he dedicates his life anew to Jesus. He told me that he wants to always bring his mother honor and never embarrassment. I believe God has a very special job for him just like He does for all the children He has created. If you give your heart to Jesus He will show you where He has jobs for you to do.
