SEA HORSES |
This is a horse of the sea that has a head looking like a
horse but it is a fish. There are 32 different species of these
little horses. They live in warm ocean waters that are shallow. They live
among grasses and seaweeds, coral, or sponges. |
A seahorse is covered by hard thick, rough plates and a
layer of skin. This armor is so tough that enemies like crabs and birds
just don't want to eat them. |
Most fish swim along horizontally but the seahorse fish
stands up to swim. The fin on his back beats rapidly and propels him
along. The two fins where you would expect the ear on a horse, just help
steer him as he swims. |
Seahorse eyes swivel around separately from the other one.
One can look down and the other up. In this way, it is like the chameleon
we studied in the last lesson. |
The tail of the seahorse is like the chameleon. It curls
around a branch of seaweed and clings to it. It helps anchor the seahorse
to the plant if he wants to sleep. |
These unique fish have been collected for use as medicine
in China and Asia. Also people are using them for souvenirs in key chains,
and jewelry. The numbers of these fish are dropping fast. There soon might
not be any more of these beautiful fish. They do not live well in
captivity in home aquariums. |
![]() The dad seahorse has a pouch like a kangaroo. The female
lays up to 1,500 eggs in this pouch. The male fertilizes and carries them
around. The female visits him every morning till the babies are born. They
have a cute greeting where they change color, twirl around and link tails.
They talk to each other by changing color. That is like the chameleon we
just studied in the last lesson.![]() |
The
dad actually writhes and twists as the little ones come out of the pouch.
He anchors his body with his tail. |
The most amazing thing about the seahorse is their ability
in their skin to change color. Some can turn orange, red, yellow
or purple
if they are near those colors of coral. Usually the colors are beige,
brown, or gray. |
There is a sanctuary in heaven where God has many colors
that tell us a story of love. |
We
have a High Priest. He serves in the Most Holy Place, in the tent... put
up by the Lord, not by man. Heb. 8: 1&2
Song |
In the sanctuary in Heaven, the King of Kings lives. He has
always been alive and always will be. He made the universe and all the
angels and all people.
Many angels sing and are very happy to do whatever He asks them to do. There are seraphim that cover their faces in respect for King Jesus. (Isaiah 6:12)

God asked Him to copy every detail carefully. He and the people were generous. They gave their most expensive things for building this house for God. This house was built as a tent near Mt. Sinai. The tent could be moved. They carried it around with them and set it up wherever they camped. God wanted to camp everywhere they camped. He had a special tent in the middle of all their tents. |

![]() Another Bible writer talked about this sanctuary. His name
was Paul. He wrote the book of Hebrews. He looked into heaven too. He saw
Jesus working as our High Priest. He wrote down what he saw in Hebrews
9:23-28. |
Ezekiel looked into heaven and saw the tabernacle too.
So did John who wrote the book of Revelation. John saw candles, an altar of incense, and a table of showbread. He saw the ark with the ten commandments. These ten commandments in heaven are the same ones recorded in Exodus 20. They will always be unchanged. It is the law of heaven forever. We need to ask God to help us obey these 10 rules. Rev. 4:5; and 11:19 |
![]() The
color blue was an important reminder to the Israelites
to keep the 10 commandments. When the ark was carried, the final covering
over it was a blue cloth. No one was to look upon the ark or touch it
except the High Priest. When people saw the blue cloth draped over the ark
as it was carried, the blue reminded them of the law that describes God's
loving character. God told them to place blue strips on their sleeves to
remind them to keep the law. (Numbers 4:6, Numbers 15:38-40)
There was sapphire blue pavement under the feet of God on Mt. Sinai Exodus 24:10. God cut stone out and wrote on them then asked their garments to be trimmed in blue to remind them of the law. This indicates that the stones were blue. There was blue put on the robes of the High Priest on his forehead. (Ex. 28:28) There was a complete robe of blue under the ephod of the High Priest.
The most beautiful sapphires come from Kashmir, India. |
The colors of the sanctuary all tell part of the story. The
bronze, gold, silver, red, blue, purple, all tell about the story of
saving people from sin. Every detail in the sanctuary has meaning. Some
meanings are so deep that the most intelligent people on this earth have
never understood it all.![]() |
I t is really important to realize that the earth tent home
and the Solomon's temple, have meaning in describing the future as well as
what God has done in the past to save people from their sins. Every detail
has meaning. It is important because right now in heaven the final
exam of record books is taking place. When it is all finished, Jesus is
coming to earth. He knows who is getting ready. He has every detail in His
books. He knows every thought you have.
There is a whole section of studies on the sanctuary if you would like to study it more. Very interesting things happened in this tent that tell you about our FOREVER FRIEND Jesus. There is not a tent tabernacle on this earth right now. God meets with His people whenever and wherever they pray and call on Him. He is preparing a place for you in heaven. John 3:16 |
