Praying Mantis |
The
praying mantis sits motionless waiting for a fly or moth or other insect
to come by. Quickly it pounces. It seems to even sleep in this position. |
![]() The
mantis even attacks its own mate and eats him for supper if he is not
quick enough to get away. |
There
is an amazing ability of the mantis to change color a little to fit
surroundings.
This helps him hide while waiting for meals. |

The
mantis just sits with its arms up all day like it is praying but it is
not. When we pray we have a discussion explaining what we like about our
blessings.
We talk about what we need and we can ask God questions like you would talk with a friend. Just being in a certain position like this insect is not praying. Praying is a conversation with a FOREVER FRIEND. |
Scripture passage: Lord's Prayer Song:
I Cor. 3:16 |
God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are ready in any emergency to come to your rescue. It is faster than any 911 system on planet earth. Even though you cannot see Him working on the answer. You can be sure He is. Sometimes He will give you a signal that He is working on the answer. Trust Him. He always answers. Sometimes it is a "NO". Sometimes it is a "YES", and sometimes it is a "WAIT". Everyone hates waiting. But the timing is always best for you. God knows when it is better to wait awhile. If we ask for something that is God's desire for us to have or according to His will, He gives us what we ask for. (I John 5:14,15) Elijah had to pray 7 times before God sent the rain he promised. Elijah was on Mt. Carmel and had worked all day for God. He made sure the false prophets did not sneak any fire onto their sacrifices. They all waited for the real God to show His power by fire from heaven. Fire came fast when Elijah prayed. Then after that he wanted it to rain. Yet he had to pray 7 times. This was to keep Elijah humble. God has many different reasons for making us wait. Sometimes He wants to have us keep praying and not let go of His arm too soon. |
At
the altar of incense, in the sanctuary there was sweet incense burned as
the priest prayed for the people. The people outside the tabernacle were
also praying. The sweet smell could be noticed for up to 2 miles outside
God's tent. Jesus in heaven prays for us. He takes our prayers and
translates them into the language of heaven. You do not have to worry
about having strange sounding words, Jesus translates them to sound just
right. He knows all the secret desires of your heart. If you love Him, He
grants the secret desires of your heart.
Some people pray to Satan. You can make sure you are praying to God by taking your BIBLE in your hands as the WORD of God. Pray out loud to God. Put your finger on a Bible promise and repeat it back telling God He promised this to you. Simply tell God in heaven you want to be totally HIS. Ask Him to create a clean heart in you. Tell Him you want Him to help you obey. Pray in the name of Jesus. Satan does not like to stay around when you sing praises to Jesus and pray. God will not allow Satan to trick you when you pray in faith to God in heaven in the name of Jesus. Angels camp around those who love and obey God. (Ps. 34:7)These angels are so much stronger than Satan and his angels. |
| I had a friend in school who prayed to dead people
and had books of Satan in her home and incense used in Satan
worship. She thought for awhile that she was praying to God but she found
out she was tricked. She thought her dead father was playing radio music
to her from the basement. She was fooled. She had the wrong books.
The BIBLE is the only true book of God.
Read what the Bible says about visitors from other worlds. In Revelation 16:14 it says the spirits of demons will do miracles and bring world leaders together. In Isaiah 8:19 it says not to listen to mediums that talk to the dead. |
When I went to Texas to a medical convention, I had a terrible experience at the motel. The manager gave a key to some man who tried to do me harm in the middle of the night. I screamed for him to leave my room, I barricaded the door and prayed all at the same time. It scared the man so bad he left. I know God helped me that night. He guarded me. I moved to a different motel. |
| Another answer to prayer happened when I was a teenager. |
| Next morning I knelt with my family and prayed. We laid out the promise of Mathew 7:7 & 8 "Seek and ye shall find". This Bible verse was meant originally to help people find Bible wisdom. I asked God to help me seek and find my contact. After searching for a few hours, it was found. I was so excited, I wanted to share this answer with everyone. God had heard ME. |
| Later at school a friend lost her contact. I was embarrassed at first to tell her about my answered prayer. Finally I ventured out with it and she bowed her head and we prayed. Immediately she found her contact in the dust. That gave me courage to share with others without being afraid. |
| The only way to be safe from Satan's tricks is to read the
Bible and pray. Daniel prayed three times a day. These were special times
of prayer. Also he prayed all night sometimes. Jesus also did that.
(Mathew 14:23) Contact your heavenly Father if you get into trouble. Parents, Christian friends, and Pastors can help too but God is always there. He will answer every prayer that you pray when you are willing to obey. Find promises in the Bible which will help you trust Jesus. Use your energy to help others. In every emergency contact heaven. Talk to God in Jesus' name. (Jeremiah 33:3) Your prayers smell sweet to God, sweet as the perfume of the sanctuary incense. |
