SHARKS God's Church Wins |
The shark family is full of variety. There are more than 360
different species or kinds of sharks. Inside the oceans, many
animals are not yet discovered. Dark deep waters hide many creatures. |
Sharks are full of surprises. The largest shark is the whale shark.
He can get to 45 feet long and weigh more than 40,000 pounds.
The fastest shark swims up to 40 miles per hour. Because most eat meat, and some have hurt people, many people are afraid of them. I do not like to swim anywhere near these hungry fish. I move out of the water fast if I see one. I would rather stay far away from danger. |
| Skin
You can cut yourself by rubbing the skin of a shark. It has lots of little teeth in it. The tiny teeth are called denticles. |
Swimming Noses
Some sharks can smell one part of blood in a million parts of water. If a diver is bleeding, it is very dangerous for him to stay in the water. He can attract hungry sharks. |
Eyes of sharks have
three eyelids. Most fish have none. The third eyelid covers the entire eye
and protects it. Sharks can see as well as you and I. The cornea of a
shark eye has been used as replacements for human corneas. Sharks can see
in both dim and bright light. |

Shark ears are so good, they can hear things 3,000 feet away under water. Even in dark murky water, or in complete darkness, a shark can tell where his living food is. It can even find its prey buried in sand. It uses electricity to help them locate their prey. On their faces are hundreds of tiny holes which pick up electrical impulses. |

 Sting
Rays and Skates are flattened sharks. Skates are harmless but sting rays
come equipped with a sharp stinging spine at the base of the tail. |
 JAWS
Sharks loose their teeth all the time because they are not attached firmly to their jaws like yours are. Every time a shark bites something hard, it can loose a tooth. But there are many new teeth ready to grow into the hole. It sometimes only takes 24 hours to grow another tooth. |
Shark teeth on the top are triangle shaped.
On the bottom jaw the teeth are narrow. The great white sharks are the
largest meat eating fish on earth today. There have been teeth found which
are six inches long. If one tooth is 6 inches long, imagine how big the
jaws would have to be to hold it! It could be this tooth was from a great
white shark that lived before the flood. Scientists have calculated
the size of his jaws to be large enough to swallow a small car. I can't
help thinking of a man in the Bible who was swallowed by a big fish. What
was his name?
Imagine what it would be like to have to brush sharks teeth every
day! |
People and sharks have never been friends. There are probably no other
animals on earth that people fear as much as they fear sharks. Everybody
has heard horror stories about shark attacks. The number of people
actually attacked by sharks is very small. It seems sharks don't like the
taste of people. They usually only take one bite.

As we have seen so far in what He has created, there are so many ideas in His mind. I know He is planning a special place for you. When my dad built homes for his family, he would sing and whistle. I remember him smiling at me as I played near his ladder. |

Jesus has left you at your new home He made and He is showing someone

 There
will be so much love in every ones hearts for each other. No brothers will
beat up on each other. No sisters will scream or scratch or bite. There
will be only kindness. Only nice words will be spoken in heaven.
There will be no stealing, no lying, no pain or dying. |
 There
will be no more hate and mean words said about others. There won't be any
more jealousy or revenge. |
 The
Bible says we are sons and daughters of God. When He comes in the clouds,
we will be like Him. Do you like to copy your mom and dad? These boys love
using up all dad's shaving cream and pretending they are old enough to
shave off beards too. |
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman
clothed with the sun,
and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars.

God's people are this pure woman. They obey His law as written in the Bible. |
 Satan
acts like a hungry shark after God's people. He knows he does not have
very long to destroy them. He tries to get them real busy so they won't
spend time with Jesus. Sometimes he makes sure they have lots of money,
boats, houses, computer games and anything to keep their minds off of
Jesus. If that doesn't work he causes people to be mean to them and try to
stop them from working as missionaries. |
 Satan
pours out lies about God and which day He wants us to rest on. Satan is
described in Revelation 12:15 as a snake vomiting a flood after God's
people the woman. She was given wings to get away from him fast. She went
to the wilderness. The only safe place is with God. Psalms 91 talks about
the secret place. This place is not in the caves but with God in a FOREVER
FRIENDSHIP. |
 He
also acts like a roaring lion looking for people to devour. He pretends to
be gentle and friendly until people trust him, then he shows how mean he
is. |
 Those
who are trying to copy Jesus, spend time every day reading and thinking
about His life like Daniel did. These people make Satan angry because he
hates Jesus and anyone like him. It is not your fault if people hate you
for being like Jesus. Satan makes all kinds of trouble. He disturbs
meetings, He has people say mean things and make fun of you. 2 Timothy
3:12. Remember, always remember that Jesus was kicked and spit on and
accused of being on the devils team. He was nailed to the cross. Daniel
was thrown into the lions den. How can we expect better treatment than
Jesus, our Captain and Daniel had?
Satan has tried really hard to stop these very Bible lessons. He has caused people to be very mean. We must keep working while it is still day for night is coming when no man can work. Like Nehemiah who was rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, when he was threatened, he armed his men and they all kept working on the wall. We must not come down and try to reason with those who fight us. Jesus just withdrew quietly and went to work somewhere else. He did not get up and announce that because no one was listening, or treating Him right, He could not work with them anymore and He was moving somewhere else to work. He just quietly went somewhere else. Let's be like Jesus.

 The
Bible says some of God's people have been thrown in prison.  Some
have been cut in half. God's people have had to hide from Satan's helpers.
God allows some to die for Him so others watching may become Christians.
Some hid by wearing sheep skins. Some hid in the desert. Do you see people feet and hands? In a herd of sheep this person can hide real easy. His face is looking out the eyes of the lamb skin.

 It
is very important to forgive these people even if they are church leaders
who are hurting you because many of them think different than you.
 Maybe
they really honestly think they are working for God. Remember
Saul killed many of the followers of Jesus thinking he was working for
God? How you act when people are mean, may show them God's way
of love. Do not retaliate with mean words. Just pray for the mean people.
Ask God to help them. Ask God to show you where He needs you to work,
and withdraw quietly and work for Jesus where He sends you to work.
How do you suppose the Christians felt who helped Saul over the wall to escape when he changed to God's side? If Saul had killed their mom or dad do you think they might want to drop the basket? |
 Remember
how Joseph was sold by his brothers yet forgave them and later fed them
when they were starving and provided homes for them?
Joseph was willing to help save the lives of those who ripped his clothes, treated him mean and sold him. He is like Jesus. We want to be like Jesus. Pray for God to save those who treat you mean. |
 Remember
how Peter slept in prison trusting God would take care of the anger in
people's hearts. He could have sat up all night angry at them.
Rest in the arms of Jesus trusting He will take care of the problems that come from sharing the GOOD NEWS with others. |
 Remember
how Paul and Silas sang after people beat them up and placed them in prison
while they were doing mission work?
God enjoyed their attitude of gratitude while even in pain for the "crime" of having done mission work. As they began to sing with their backs stinging from cuts, God began to tap His feet to the music. The earth trembled at the tread of heaven's guests. The prison fell apart and God's people were set free. It pays to sing when in trouble and forgive those who beat you up. You can't sing if your feel like taking revenge. Please FORGIVE. |
 Job
forgave his friends for telling him he was so bad. They said God was
punishing him with loss because of some terrible sins he needed
forgiveness for. God said they were wrong and told Job to pray for them.
Many people today are quick to label you as having some horrible sin if disaster strikes. They will often pick on you and heap insults on you and say you are a great embarrassment to the family and church. Job prayed for his friends and God turned back the next evils Satan had planned for him. Job's faithfulness in trial has been a testimony to millions. His "friend's" testimony was wrong and showed they did not understand God. PLEASE FORGIVE. |
 Caleb
and Joshua had a very dangerous thing happen to them. Those who did not
trust God could provide a way into Canaan, picked up rocks to kill Caleb
and Joshua. They were full of rage against those who had faith. God could
not stand the potential stoning of His faithful Caleb and Joshua. He made
His presence visible as a bright light at the sanctuary and sent fire out
to the camp.
Instead of rejoicing at the fire burning the rebels, Caleb and Joshua risked their lives to save people from the fire. They ran among them urging them to repent and pray. They prayed FOR THEIR ANGRY RELATIVES. Are you praying for all who have been mean to you? God desperately wants to save them. PLEASE FORGIVE. |
 Heaven
will be filled with people who can forgive. If you forgive others, your
Heavenly Father will forgive you.
God's people will win. God's church will be carefully guided through the times of trouble. Many will fall away because they do not study their Bibles carefully. No matter how hard it is, they will keep trying to copy Jesus. God promises to help you be good. Those who copy Jesus will win wonderful prizes. They will get to eat picnics in heaven. In these picnics will be delightful food. Jesus will put some fruit from the tree of life on the long silver table. There will be leaves from the tree of life that will heal all our pain and sorrow from this earth.

There will be flowers to pick which will never fade. Butterflies will fly about our gardens and light on our hands. All will be gorgeous and exciting to look at there. I want to pick flowers and study and play with animals that will
now eat me like sharks and other sea creatures like killer whales. |
| Let's choose to be on God's team. Let us study His life
every day and He will help us become just like Him. We will become the
most loving, kind, and thoughtful people around on this earth. We will
forgive like Jesus who said, "Father, forgive them for they know not
what they do". This He said while they tortured Him.
And when we see Him we shall be like Him. He has a new name and song and a place prepared for all who love and obey Him. More than we can imagine is stored up for our joy in heaven. Let's get ready. |

Shark
shapes and colors
He
has made sharks in different colors with blue, brown, with spots, gray,
and white and yellow. He has made short ones,
fat ones, skinny and flat ones. Each design has a purpose. The tiniest shark can be held in the hand.
It grows to six inches.
Sharks
continue to grow as long as they live. Before the flood, the sharks were
probably much larger. Huge teeth have been found as fossils which have
raised big questions about who the largest shark really was.
The edges of the shark tooth are like a saw. They have serrations
on them. Some shark teeth have been known to cut through a thick piece of
steel. Some sharks wait for a whole month to eat again after they have a
good meal. Like lions, sharks usually kill only when they are hungry and
this is not real often. We eat several times a day. A shark may eat once
every 30 days.
They
keep the law of God just as He wrote it no matter what the world says.
When God created the world and set the 7th day aside as a special day to
worship Him, He made an appointment to take time from HIS busy schedule to
meet with us. That day is full of the blessings He pours out. Don't miss
these gifts He has for you. Keep the 7th day holy. Do not do any work, or
play on this day. Leave all the day open for time learning about God.
Imagine
the Father in heaven
singing about you as He prepares your place in heaven. Imagine a parrot
near by that is listening to HIS song about you. (Zeph 3:17)
