![]() Jesus
is a mighty Captain of His hosts of heaven. What weapons does He give to
those who believe and work for Him?
What are the weapons of the Christian? The Word of God is the light that helps you see danger on the path. The armor of the Christian is the protection. But what do they use to pull down Satan's lies? Rev. 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Look at 2 Corinthians 10:4 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) As you meditate and think about many sections of the Bible, you can see these weapons. |
| With faith in God as their armor, and with His word as their weapon of warfare, they would be supplied with an inner power that would enable them to turn aside the attacks of the enemy. {AA 307.1} |

Love Changes a Drunk
One day he brought a friend home with him. The friend watched as the wife was ordered out of bed. She noticed she had a guest to cook for too. She straightened her hair and put on a nice dress. |
![]() She
hurried to make a very nice meal. Her face glowed with love. She was
humming a little tune as she did her best at 2 in the morning. Her body
ached to get back to sleep. Not one complaint came from her lips. She
looked so unselfish and loving. |
![]() She
set the table so pretty with such a nice table cloth. A candle brightened
the center as the food was cooking, she did all she could to make things
attractive. |
She
had covered up the hole in the floor with a mat remnant of floor covering
that looked like wood. She had thrown out the moldy carpets. Above
the table gaped the ceiling which had been destroyed by the leaking roof.
There were so many repairs to be done that the husband had neglected. She
had done what she could to make things look as nice as possible. |
| It was too much to watch. The friend got
up and went home. He was so embarrassed that his friend had treated his
wife so mean yet she was so sweet.
|
She answered that she loved him. She said
that since he refused to change his ways, she knew he would never get to
enjoy the beauties and love of heaven so she was determined he should not
miss out completely. She was going to give him all that she could. It
would be the only heaven he would ever get.
This demonstration of heaven's love broke his heart. He accepted Jesus into his heart right there.

that is evil", Jesus said.
Even "the most degraded are to be treated with respect and tenderness. God will hold us accountable for even a word spoken in contempt of one soul for whom Christ laid down His life." Love Changes a Witch Doctor The story is told of an angry witch doctor in a jungle village who stole the missionaries chickens. The chief demanded repayment but the missionary said he didn't want the witch doctors chickens, he wanted the man. The missionary asked the witch doctor to bring out all the charms in the witch doctor's Satan worshiping tool bag. The missionary touched the bones, the feathers, and everything in there. All the head hunters thought the poor missionary was going to die. These charms are supposed to stay in the dark. Then the missionary made the witch doctor hold the missionary's Bible. He was afraid of that Bible for he knew the God of the missionary was stronger than his own charms. He was told that any time he stole another chicken, the punishment would be to hold the Bible. Because the missionary had such a strange way of getting even, the witch doctor eventually gave his heart to God. He was always going around fixing things for the missionary. He fixed the chicken fence and anything else the missionary needed. Love had won his heart. |
