Miracle of Gratitude

There was a very special ending to our work in Porviner in Mexico in December of 2000. The little mountain village was thrilled with our visit and our service of doctoring in the day and meetings at night. There was no end of their gifts. They blessed us with gratitude. When Jesus healed ten lepers, one came back to say think you. Well, this whole village planned a surprise for us. They had shirts made and printed on. They had little wood gifts made. They showered us with their love. Their was the most beautiful feeling as governors and presidents and others in leadership thanked us. If Jesus had been in this village, they would have loved and received Him. Not only did they do all this, they took up a collection to help me buy medicines for the next place I was planning to work in Mexico. I love these people and they know it.
In this big city of Belarus, 58 children came to our little apartment to tell us good bye. Many of them were loaded down with flowers they had bought to thank us. They gave way beyond what it seemed they should. Their hugs and kisses were evidence that the Holy Spirit had invited them to the kingdom. I loved these children and they knew it.

If Jesus would have been visible, they would have loved Him too.

This dear little child loved the sheep skin I had borrowed for this trip to teach how Jesus is the shepherd and we are HIS lambs. Her teacher, this dear blonde woman had a room full of kindergarten age children in Perm Siberia. She was moved by the Holy Spirit to invite me to her class. She was so surprised that God is a loving God. Her mother is an atheist and yet a family treasure was shown me of a Bible hidden under grandpa's bed during years of disaster in Russia. I wondered if the Bible was hidden from his own children and grandchildren.

We do not know the fear they experienced as people were killed who loved and read Bibles or even were caught with them in their possession.

There was so much gratitude in this lady's heart to me. She thrilled to learn all she could about Christianity. She had me to her home for a meal. She gave me a basket box at her school as a gift.

In The Ukraine, this salt bread welcome was given prompted by the heart of Peter Kulakov, I suspect.

After about the sixth meeting presented, the children here began bringing arm loads of roses, gladiolas, and many other gifts to say thank you.

The mothers fix the little girls hair so cute, it is obvious they are thrilled at what he children are getting.

The miracle of gratitude that is from the heart, is a miracle that comes right from promptings of God the Holy spirit. It is easy to say, "thank you". But when you go out and find a gift to say thanks, it speaks louder than your words and shows something special is happening inside the heart. Ninety nine percent of the number of gifts that are given to Jesus come from the poor. We could not hold all the flowers we were given. We wished we could take them with us on the plane. It was more than we could even carry. They are so thankful for what He gives, that they want to give to Jesus. Just like these children, they give out of their hearts. The gift is always multiplied in the hands of Jesus.
I am so thankful that Jesus let me go along on HIS PROJECTS. I had the privilege of watching Him change hearts and do great big impossible things.
