Heaven's Music Surprise |
![]() Having
completed a set of children's meetings in Donetsk, Ukraine we were
exhausted. |
![]() On the news every day we heard dangerous things were happening
in Moscow. There was carnage in the streets. American transport planes
were canceling all flights out of Moscow. Ours was one of them. It was
advised no foreigners enter the city. Other Americans who were helping in
the health series made plans to fly out of the Ukraine instead of
returning to Moscow. We tried to make arrangements but were unable. It was
decided by our Russian brothers that our translator would go as our guard
and transport us into Moscow using a little traveled route and deliver us
to our departing plane. They had hopes that we could catch our
flight. |
![]() Our
dear brothers were able to book our tickets on a train and we began a new
experience. Traveling in Russian trains was very different. We were made
as comfortable as possible. It was a bumpy 24 hour experience. Our
brothers arranged the nicest coach for us and we heard all kinds of
strange sounds and felt such a swaying motion as the train moved along
toward Moscow, stopping often. |
I was glad for Igor's company. I had
dreamed that we had been abandoned to find our way back to Moscow. Igor
kindly helped us in every way he could. |
I
was very concerned for our safety for I had brought my son and my friend.
I did not relax. There was a lot of tension. Would we die when we reached
Moscow. Others had. It was on the news. We brought out our Bibles and
repeated Bible promises and tried to quiet each other.
I felt real restless. My thoughts were on my little 3 children at home and my husband. Would I ever see them again? I wondered if my work was done. I thought of the promise that my life was secure in God's hands till my work was done. The music over the train intercom was rock and roll unpleasant to my ears. This added to my tension. |
Then
suddenly I heard something that soothed my exhausted nerves. It was the
richest rendition of "Going Home". There were no words, just
music. I wondered if it was heard by others or only my ears straight from
heaven. Nancy was also wondering this for she heard it. Being the great
composer and musician that she is, her ears were tuned to it immediately.
It was coming from the speakers on the train. The next song was
"People Need the Lord". Tears came to my eyes as I looked at
Nan. We had gone on this trip for Jesus because people need the Lord. The
rest of the music was so special. We also heard sounds of ocean. |
When I get to heaven I want to ask my angel some
questions. Where did
that train get such a nice tape? Did an angel provide it from his pocket?
It was fabulous music. When we reached Moscow, our friend Igor had
everything set up for us so we had a nice vehicle take us to the airport
and helped us to our plane. Our flight was back on the books and we flew
home without problems. Arriving home, we began a search for the recording
that matched what we heard on the train. We did this because one of our
friends hearing our story said it sounded like a tape she had. Sure enough
in the stack she loaned me to listen through, was a tape called "All
Creation Sings" by Dino. It was the same we had heard on the train.
The train noises in the tape recording, we thought were due to the train
we were on. God had miraculously had that tape in the train and
played when we were so anxious. He knew just how to calm HIS DAUGHTERS.
Being from a musical family, with my dad a band and choir teacher, I have
enjoyed great music. It relaxes my nerves and God chose to soothe me this
way.
Is anything too hard for God? What a kindhearted DADDY in heaven we have. He feels our tension and does what He can to comfort us. |
| This tape is also in video format also and is a great one for bringing comfort to families experiencing crisis such as loss of loved ones or other disasters. We have shared it with many people. |
