17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet
colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. |
17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: |
17:5 And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. |
17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. |
17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 17:9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. |

17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. |
17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. |
The
false prophet gives power to the beast. Who is this false prophet?
There is a clue in the words of Jesus in Mathew 7:15. The false prophets walk around in lamb skins trying to look like lambs but underneath are wolves. The Indians used to hunt for buffalo by hiding in a buffalo skin. |
The
buffalo herds were not alarmed until it was too late. Jesus uses this
common hunters practice as a symbol of what a false prophet does. This
clue fits our lamb like beast speaking like the dragon. The dragon is
Satan. His ideas are moving the heart of a nation that used to follow
Jesus the LAMB. The prophecy says that the United States will pass laws to
force disobedience to God's law. They will encourage the whole world to do
the same thing. This time has not yet been fulfilled. When that time
comes, the end is very near. The history of what happened in France will
happen to anyone who turns against God's laws, killing all who want to
follow God's Bible truths and keep God's 7th day Sabbath.

| 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful. |
17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore
sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. |

17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. |
17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great
city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The
amazing drama of the 7 headed dragon beast and the leopard beast tell us
of a church that was wounded in 1798 yet the wound heals and again the
whole world worships it. The head of that church speaks to kings of every
country and they obey for awhile. Then
they all turn on this church and burn her with fire. The 10 kings
rule the earth at the end of time for just one prophetic hour. |
This
is like the dream in Daniel 2 where the 10 toes are 10 kings that
have power for one hour. Since a day equals a year in prophetic
calculations, we can figure out how long they rule.
There are 24 hours in a day. One hour equals 1/24th of a day. There are 360 days in a year. One day equals a year. So what is 1/24th of 360? Did you figure 15 days? You are right. The kings will rule only 15 days.

This
church loves to kill God's Bible believing Christians. She gets drunk with
the joy of killing them. |
Look
again at the first part of this chapter. The 7th angel with the 7th plague
that was pouring out the horrible punishments of killing hail wanted
John to see the reason for all this anger from God. He took John out to
the wilderness to see this immoral woman on a 7 headed beast. |
| Why did they go to the wilderness to look at this beast?
Satan is the scape goat and his helpers lead a power which destroys God's Bible believing people. |
