God's Law shows His unselfishness |
Coming
soon: song Deuteronomy 32:11, 12
As an eagle, stirs up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them and bears them on her wings, so the Lord alone did lead us; and there's no strange God with us. |
|
His laws were designed for production of mentally and physically fit, content, honorable, and successful people They are not a list of don'ts but a list of promises for those who obey. |
God
asks for obedience to the law that describes His ways of dealing with
others. When we act like Him, He can bless us.
Deut. 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. |

Like a Father |
When
their hearts were afraid of giants, God encouraged them not to be afraid,
He would fight for them. (Deut.1:28-30) He said He was like a father
dealing with a son, even rendering punishment.(1:31-35)
1:33 Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents [in], in fire by night, to show you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day. Like a Father, He uses repetition as a teaching tool. Example: Many times He says to teach His law to the children.

Our gratitude triggers a generous response from God. After eating, thank Him for the food. He asks you to do that in Deut. 6:11 |
| Deut. 6:10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 6:11 And houses full of all good [things], which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; 6:12 [Then] beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house |

God cares about the birds |
| We were delighted when a little mother
bluebird began building her little nest in a nesting box we put up. She
started 10 minutes after we nailed up the little house. I prayed that
Jesus would help these birds not be afraid of us so we could illustrate
some precious truths about God with their pictures. The mama bird did not
mind at all that I opened and looked at all she did. I even held her
babies and God helped her not to be afraid. I know this was a special
blessing for the children of the world to see the sweet birds God has
created. He cares about you and the birds He has made.

God's Power was exhibited in so many ways His power was used to bless those obedient to His unselfish laws He brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with His outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs and wonders. (Deut 26: 8,9) |

Like an Eagle |
God
is like an eagle, He stirs up the way we do things and teaches us to fly
above our trials. When we get tired, He carries us. He leads us in all
that we do if we seek to love and obey Him in all things. He provides all
we need like the parent eagle provides for its young.
32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: |
|
Like a Rock |
![]() God
is firm and unchangeable like a rock. He wrote His law onto this same
symbol.
Jesus is the Rock of our salvation. Deut.32:15. He made oil, honey, and water flow from the rock in the wilderness to teach them about HIMSELF. (32:13) |
Deut.
32:4 [He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he. |

Tender Hearted Sympathetic |
| You can lay your head on His
chest. (33:12)
33:12 [And] of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; [and the LORD] shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. 33:27 The eternal God [is thy] refuge, and underneath [are] the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy [them]. |
