Porcupine Fun |
 Bible
lesson 24 was on natural defenses and how God provides the Bible teachings
as our natural defense system. God sent a porcupine into my greenhouse
just for me to get the pictures I wanted. So many people want money for
the use of their pictures and this work for children is a volunteer
project. The funds are so very limited. I just use what I can find and
pray for help.
I believe this creature that visited my greenhouse was an answer to prayer. |
  With
the help of a little water spray from the garden hose we encouraged him
into the little fig tree in my tiny green house. I was able to get all the
pictures I wanted. The children learned a lot about the porcupine as we
watched him close up. A black t shirt was used to gather a few quills from
his whipping tail. What an amazing creature. |
  The
dogs have found other porcupines and barked till we thought they would
never quit. For hours the porcupine would turn and turn giving the dog a
few quills in her nose but she never ever has learned to leave the
porcupine alone. She is more careful but seems to have a grudge to settle
for all the pain she has felt in her nose. |
  Every
time the dogs find a porcupine, we grab the camera and get pictures. They
just keep barking and tearing off logs the porky hides under till it just
climbs a tree to get away. |

God sent His porcupine friend that He had created, so I could get the pictures I needed for the Bible lesson illustrations. |
