This is a story of  a double miracle for two big things! A projector and a car.

For over a  year we gathered coins that others threw away. Our goal was to have a projector for giving our Bible lessons in all parts of the world.  We always had to borrow and felt the stress of hunting for a loaner and trying to protect it. To rent one was far more than we could afford.  On birthday and Mother's Day and Christmas I asked the family not to buy me anything but that the money they wanted to spend on me just be put in this box for God's projector. Every month we counted it. We wrapped up the coins and took them to the bank each month and turned them into dollars. Whenever we went without a needless item or a trip to town or eating out, the money that would have been spent was tucked into God's Projector box.
On our table, we kept a little box for this projector for Jesus. It's only use is for mission work. If I could possibly do without something, I put that money into this box. It was fun to think about the rewards of seeing thousands able to be blessed for having been able to see the the pictures and Bible texts.

The box car replica of those used in a silver mine in Montana was perfect for collecting coins in. A retired miner makes and sells these in Montanna. The Bible says the WORD of God is as silver purified 7 times. This was the perfect box to put money in for a projector that would help tell Bible truths to thousands.

His Word Is Sacred.--We should reverence God's Word. For the printed volume we should show respect, never putting it to common uses or handling it carelessly. And never should Scripture be quoted in a jest or
paraphrased to point a witty saying. "Every word of God is pure"; "as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times." (Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 12:6.) {CG 538.6}
We did everything we could think of to keep the heating bills down so we could save for the projector. We burned wood in the stove and kept the heater off as much as we could. We picked up cardboard boxes at the back of the stores and burned these. We scoured the woods daily for sticks for the fire. Haircuts were done at home. Phone calls were kept to just as few as we could get by with.
I was invited to Kansas to tell my mission story and while there do the young children's meetings. I took the computer and held it close to the children to show my stories. The walk through model of the sanctuary was the main emphasis of the program.

Many generous hearted people helped sponsor the gathering of funds for God's projector.

When I did vacation Bible school more dollars were given which helped towards the projector.

We studied the different projectors. We needed one bright enough to still be seen when the tropical sun was so bright. We hoped and prayed for something light enough. Making it through airports is not easy with four children and a heavy projector and computer. Now it is even more difficult with increased security checks. We were always thankful for the generous people who loaned us their projectors trusting in God for all insurance on it. In the past,  it seemed that the little seven year old boy of mine who carried the 35 pound projector had angel help. While placing it in the overhead bin, many strong men would reach out to help. Going up and down stairs in and out of planes in foreign countries was a tremendously exhausting experience. We were always the last ones off and on these difficult stairways. We prayed for wisdom (James 1:5) in selecting the right machine that will not be outdated in a year. God knows just the right one for us.
Finally by the end of the year, I knew we were getting close and I needed to go to the bank and and then order the projector.  By January 10, I was ready to get the projector. At that point the  1985 AMC jeep Eagle vehicle Ron was depending on to get to work, began to overheat. It is 160 miles to work and my husband really needed something he could trust.
Not only that, he needed a car that had a heater. It was really cold!
This car was the miracle car that was healed of the oil leak on the mission trip to Mexico. It has 220,000 miles on it and we wondered how wise it would be to repair it. Both cars were having serious enough trouble that there was no clear way Ron could get to work for his next shift. The projector funds were in danger of being used for another purpose. Tears came to my eyes and I hurried out to my quiet place to pray.
Things were really tense as we tried to figure out what to do. I prayed and prayed out in my  quiet place.  I could not hold back the tears. I really needed the projector every week for Bible studies and then for the India trip. I had saved all year and now that I could just about get it, I was going to loose!

Then an idea came to go ask advice from Dad Dave. He had said God told him to get a car ready for us and keep it in his garage. I wondered if the offer was still good. It had been over a year since he told me. Ron wanted to make sure that Dad Dave did not feel forced to help us. Ron would not allow any "hand outs"

Dad Dave urged me to use the car waiting for us. In just a couple hours the car documents were taken care of and we were driving the 88 AMC Jeep Eagle that God had told him to prepare for us. It has 105,400 miles on it. But the miracle did not stop here. Dear generous, kind hearted Dad Dave told us to get God's projector first and then pay him what we could a month till the car was paid for. Six years before, he asked me to promise to tell him of every mission project for he wanted to be an olive grower who provided funds for trips. Until he retired, he did just that. He told me that he was sad that he could not do that anymore.
Then He prayed his special prayer that he always prays over the cars he has sold. He spoke to God like they were business partners. He requested protection for all those who would ride in the car under all circumstances. He asked for the car to work well and serve a long time. He invited God to bless all the doctoring and other mission work we do.
God has always honored those prayers for us as you know if you have read the other car stories I have written up under the title "God's carriage" and "Out of Control".

My God shall supply all your needs, according to His riches  (Phil. 4:19)

Projector story Addendum:

It has now been a year since the projector was purchased for God's work. In the 18 cities of India it served well. It took a tumble off the table with the lens face into the hard dirt pasture during operation while we were doing gospel meetings. As I saw it taking the plunge, I cried out to God for Him to intervene and prevent breakage. It did not even obtain one scratch! It operated fine as though it had never fallen.

This projector was plugged into power on the other side of a surge protector. It was not grounded power and the projector cord was painful to touch. Shocks were sent down its cord to the computer and that also did not fry the mother board. God had unusual protection of HIS equipment. There were  great surges from generators.

This projector has gone into prisons to help lead young people to Jesus. It has presented weekly programs for young children's prayer meetings. It has helped in church programs all over the North West and Kansas.
